Fighting Formations: Grossdeutschland Infantry Division:    Game type: Historical                                        Time: 2-6pm (Saturday, Session 2)
Game Master: Joseph Keller
Number of Players: 1-2
GM Description: Fighting Formations is game that focuses on specific battles of a particular infantry division during WWII.  Grossdeutschland Infantry Division is the
first game produced for this series.  There are rumors for future titles, however, as of yet, none have been announced.  Scale is 75mm hex.  Each turn simulates 5
minutes of real battle time.  The plethora of unit types includes singular vehicles, Platoons, gun emplacements and their crews, and of course, squads.

So, if you have ever been interested in the key points of WWII, if you have ever wanted to shake the foundations of history where a single battle was the turning
point for larger scale successes, if you have ever wanted to change the tide of history at the micro level, but most importantly, if you think you can handle fighting
on the small scale where single decisions matter, then Fighting Formations is for you.  Come and be the one of the first players who, years from now, says "I have
been playing that for years!".  You know that feeling.  Your the Dude! The Man! That guy who they whisper about in awe.  He is a Fighting Formations Master.  This
is your moment to shine.  Jump in the trenches and come play Fighting Formations: Grossdeutschland Infantry Division.

Descent:   Game type: Fantasy                                                                                                                 Time: Mid-6am (Friday, Session 4)
Game Master: Travis Tonne
Room: Llano
Table number: BG-6
Number of Players: 1-4
GM Description: A Board Game of Dungeon Delving Adventure: Descent: Journeys in the Dark is a semi-cooperative game in which two to five players will take on
the antagonistic roles of heroes and Overlord. Up to four players will choose characters with a wide assortment of skills and innate abilities to be the heroes who will
explore dungeons in search of treasure and adventure. One player will take on the role of the Overlord and will control the dungeon's many traps, puzzles, and
monsters.
Battlestar Galactica: Game type: Sci-fi                                                                                                       Time: 7-11pm (Saturday, Session 3)
Game Master: Eric Couch
Room: Llano
Table number: BG-7
Number of Players: 3-6
GM Description: Battlestar Galactica is a cooperative game, with the added complication that one or more of the players is a secret Cylon traitor – your entire side
will win or lose, and you might not even be certain who is on your side until the game ends!

Each player is secretly assigned his or her loyalty at the start of the game. Players will either be loyal to the humans, or to the Cylons. Humans and Cylons have
specific and conflicting winning objectives. The human players win by reaching Kobol, but the Galactica will be threatened by a host of challenges along the way.
Only through the cooperation of the humans will the ship (and fleet) survive. The Cylon player(s) wins by either destroying the Galactica with attacks from the Cylon
fleet, or, through sabotage, by reducing one of the necessary resources (Food, Fuel, Population, or Morale) to zero. Either all of the humans win together, or all of
the Cylons win together…but both sides must figure out who they can trust in order to achieve victory. Players' identities are secret and no one will know for certain
at the beginning of the game who they can trust. Keep your eyes open and watch how the other players play. Can you trust them to watch out for Humanity’s
interests? Or are they Cylons bent on destroying Humanity? If your gaming group enjoys highly-thematic political intrigue, and can handle some good-natured
infighting and backstabbing, you'll enjoy Battlestar Galactica. If you like playing a game where there is a continuous challenge, and victory is always a very close
call, Battlestar Galactica is for you.
Dungeon Lords: Game type: Fantasy                                                                                                        Time: 10-2pm (Sunday, Session 1)
Game Master: Sean McClung
Room: Llano
Table number: BG-6
Number of Players: 2-4
GM Description: Dungeon Lords is a game for 2 to 4 aspiring Dungeon Lords. You get to dig tunnels, mine gold, hire monsters, create traps and care
about all the things a proper dungeon needs. It is not easy, as the competition for resources is stiff and sometimes you have to get a bit evil to get what
you want – and the more evil you get, the stronger the adventurers your dungeon attracts. Twice a game, these adventurers set off to conquer your
dungeon. Command your monsters and use your traps to stop them, before they do too much damage. In the end, you score based on your
achievements: constructing and defending your dungeon, and perhaps winning some prestigious titles.
Descent:   Game type: Fantasy                                                                                                                 Time: Mid-6am (Saturday, Session 4)
Game Master: Travis Tonne
Room: Llano
Table number: BG-4
Number of Players: 1-4
Description: A Board Game of Dungeon Delving Adventure: Descent: Journeys in the Dark is a semi-cooperative game in which two to five players will take on the
antagonistic roles of heroes and Overlord. Up to four players will choose characters with a wide assortment of skills and innate abilities to be the heroes who will
explore dungeons in search of treasure and adventure. One player will take on the role of the Overlord and will control the dungeon's many traps, puzzles, and
monsters.

The heroes' goal will be to cooperatively conquer the dungeon, seize its many treasures, and achieve other objectives as set by the scenario. If the heroes
cooperate and achieve their goals, they will all win. The Overlord's objective is simply to use all the means at his or her disposal - from deadly traps and ferocious
monsters - to kill the heroes. Each hero has a certain Conquest Point value to the party and if too many Conquest Points are lost through hero death, the party
loses and the Overlord wins.

Are you equipped and ready to step onto the Glyph of Transport and cross the dark portal into the world of Descent?
Agricola: Game type: Economic Farming                                                                                                   Time: 9am - 1pm (Saturday, Session 1)
Room: Llano
Table number: BG-3
GM Description:
In Agricola (Latin for "farmer"), you're a farmer in a wooden shack with your spouse and little else. On a turn, you get to take only two
actions, one for you and one for the spouse, from all the possibilities you'll find on a farm: collecting clay, wood or stone; building fences; and so on.
You might think about having kids in order to get more work accomplished, but first you need to expand your house. And what are you going to feed all
the little rugrats?

Agricola is a turn-based game. There are 14 game turns plus 6 harvest phases (after turn 4, 7, 9, 11, 13, and 14). Each player starts with two playing
tokens (farmer and wife) and thus can take two actions per turn. There are multiple options, and while the game progresses, you'll have more and
more: first thing in a turn, a new action card is flipped over.

Problem: Each action can be taken just once per turn, so it's important to do some things with high preference. Each player also starts with a hand of 7
Occupation cards (of more than 160 total) and 7 Minor Improvement cards (of more than 140 total) that he may use during the game if they fit in his/her
strategy. This amounts to countless strategies, some depending on your card hand. Sometimes it's a good choice to stay on course, sometimes you
better react on what your opponents do.

Agricola can also be played without cards (family game) and can even be played solo.

Event Title: The Battle of Adrianople
GM Description:
The Battle of Adrianople, 378, is one of the more decisive battles of the late empire, sometimes mistakenly called the “beginning of
the end of the Empire.”  While its effects are well known, its details are surprisingly vague. We can be confident that the battle started before the
Romans had their army entirely ready, due to an impatient subordinate commander, but reports vary on whether this happened on the right or the left
flank! Perhaps the details are murky because so many of the Roman leaders died, including the emperor himself. What we do know is that the
Romans blundered their way into the fight. Goths and Romans battle it out in two interpretations of this historic battle, to be published in the next edition
of C3i magazine from GMT games.  Join us for an Epic game of Command and Colors Ancients!

Players should be familiar with the CCA rules available online at
http://www.gmtgames.com/living_rules/CC_Rules_2009.pdf

The GM will quickly familiarize players with the rules and answer questions. The battle lines are drawn. Can you change history with Command and

GM Description: Lost Worlds is a diceless fantasy combat system that simulates what a combatant would see during combat.  By swapping combat books players will
see their opponent's maneuvers.  Tournament is run in swiss pairing style.  1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners will receive a certificate and be awarded extra bonuses
for the games they play all day on Saturday.  Please note: GMs will determine the bonuses for their games.  Bonuses could include such things as rolling an extra
dice, choosing 3 cards and then discarding 2 (e.g. taking 3 community chests in Monopoly then discarding 2 of them), extra inches of movement for miniatures,
special items for RPGs.  Needless to say, the list of bonuses is endless.  The bonuses are designed to add spice to the games that the winners play on Saturday
without unbalancing the games.
Game Master: Joseph Keller
Room: Llano
Table number: BG-6
Number of Players: 2-8
GM Description: The scale of the game fluctuates, which allows players to effectively portray epic Napoleonic battles, as well as smaller historical actions.
With Commands & Colors: Napoleonics players can re-create and re-fight both the grand battles and small skirmishes of the war of Napoleon.  This game focuses
on French and British rivalry.  Who will own Europe?  Can you re-write history battle by battle or will it play-out according to history?  Playing cards bring luck
causing unforeseen challenges to all players.  But remember you have to play your cards carefully.  As the general of all your forces, it is your skill, your tactics,
and your bravery that brings defeat or victory.  So, come play C&C: Napoleonics and find out if you have what it takes to be the Emperor of Europe or to stop
Napoleon's march for victory.

Commands & Colors: Napoleonics is easy to learn and fun to play bringing history and tactics together.  C&C: Napoleonics uses the Commands & Colors game
engine but adds other layers to the game play to bring reality to the war with Napoleon.  As with all games some luck is involved but a skilled general and an expert
tactician can overcome any thing.  The game adds realism through the use of terrain and colors.  Fun and easy while realistic sums up Commands & Colors:
Napoleonics.  Last year at Texicon it was a big hit!  That is why it has returned.
Settlers of Catan: Game type: Medieval Strategy                                                                                         Time: 7-11pm (Saturday, Session 2)
Game Master: Allison Gabby
Room: Llano
Table Number: BG-2
Number of Players: 2-6
GM Description: In Settlers of Catan, players try to be the dominant force on the island of Catan by building settlements, cities, and roads. On each turn dice are
rolled to determine what resources the island produces. Players collect these resources to build up their civilizations to get to 10 victory points and win the game.
Multi-award-winning and one of the most popular games in recent history due to its amazing ability to appeal to non-gamers and gamers alike.

Players are recent immigrants to the newly populated island of Catan. Expand your colony through the building of settlements, roads, and villages by harvesting
commodities from the land around you. Trade sheep, lumber, bricks and grain for a settlement, bricks and wood for a road, or try to complete other combinations
for more advanced buildings, services and specials.

Trade with other players, or at local seaports to get resources you might lack. The first player to achieve 10 points from a combination of roads, settlements, and
special cards wins.

Commands and Colors: Napoleonics by GMT: Game type: Historical                                                      Time: 2-6pm (Saturday, Session 2)
Game Master: Steven Duke
Room: Llano
Table number: BG-6
Number of Players: 2-8
GM Description:
Richard Borg's remarkable system which has produced Memoir 44, Battle Cry, Command and Colors Ancients, and Battle Lore now
takes on the Napoleonic Era with Command and Colors Napoleonics!
Using a similar mechanism to his other games, players order units with cards on a battlefield divided into three sections.  Simple to learn and
    fast playing, the games
are far from simplistic with the strategies and depth involved.  Eliminating a unit or leader gains a banner and each scenario awards the winner as the
first player to collect the required amount of banners.  The first game of the series features French, British and Portuguese and was published in
December 2010.  Up next will be the Spanish expansion and we may see early units and scenarios for that expansion at this demo!  Steve Duke and
Brady Severns will take new players through an overview of the game and will assist with a few turns.  Players can come and go or stay and play for the
whole time.  Can accommodate up to 8 players at a time.

spectacle that this war was.  The French Civil war "Off with their heads!", the American Civil War, "The Red Coats are coming... The Red Coats are coming..."
Oops, wrong war!  And of course, the war that began when Cardinal Delagosa fought Bishops Gualii and Telavega for ownership of one of the last known
remaining copies of "Pink the Bog Man" He is quoted as saying, "Gack! Give me back that copy you excommunicated heathens!"  This is one of the many wonderful

Julius... Two great men... One great tide of battle.  All that stands in the way of the true path of history is you.  Can you be the general, nay the Emperor
that Julius was.  OR will you go down in defeat to let Pompey regain the Republic.  We walk on the razor's edge.  Where will the razor cut?  Perhaps, just
perhaps you are strong enough to Rise the Roman Empire into existence?

While some players fight for survival, others have already fallen to the rotting plague and now hunger to feed their hatred of the living. As a Zombie player, you get
control of the unending waves of Zombies spreading over the town like a sickness. You also have the ability to sow dissent amongst the Heroes as fear and primal
instinct for self preservation take over. Heroes that fall will often rise again to join your Zombie ranks and terrorize their former friends.

Description: Coventry was the location of a famous battle that many point out as leading to the creation of the Second Star League. However, all of this would never

famous Wolf Dragoons and the infamous Waco Rangers arrived, Lyran units bled men and ‘Mechs to slow down the sudden Falcon onslaught.  Many relatively small
scale battles determined if key advances were delayed.  This scenario recreates such a scenario, where the clash of just a few handfuls of men and ‘Mechs had a
huge impact on the course of the future. All units are pre-generated and all miniatures and record sheets will be provided.  Prior experience with the Battletech rules

Armed Forces of the Federated Suns rolled over the defenders of the Capellan Confederation and captured roughly half their worlds.  In an era when the capture of
only one world was a significant event, the capture of two entire Capellan commonalities shocked the Inner Sphere to its core.  However, not every fight was as easy
as the press releases would have you believe...  While attempting to capture the Battlemech factories on Tikonov, Davion’s Seventh Crucis Lancers found that
